PICCADILLY LINE

 New Huish Episcopi Stations Confirmed.
London Underground has confirmed it's to extend the Piccadilly Line to Huish Episcopi. The village will have two stops, one at Kelways and the second at Wagg Drove. They'll come complete with Evening Standard Kiosks, homeless people, lost tourists and rats.

It follows a high-level meeting of Ministers in Huish Parish Council Leader Shirley Nicholas's back garden last month in which Dame Shirley served up several pints of local cider before she and colleagues bribed the Secretary of State with free season tickets to both the Hanging Chapel Hot Tub and the Sunday night staff canteen parties at Tesco.

Kelways won the bid because of the amount of housing in the area as well as the new Thai Mango Restaurant and the re-opening of The Kelways Inn...why Wagg Drove has been selected isn't quite clear.

But the news has shocked the Western Gazette which has had to cancel its 'Somerton and Langport Back On Track' campaign which was trying to persuade the government to re-open railway stations in the area.
"What a waste of time that was" said the Editor, as she hit the delete button on her PC and replaced the campaign story with another 'exclusive'....a nature pond being dug in the grounds of Castle Cary primary school.

Several leading figures from around Huish and Langport posed for this picture moments after giving the Minister for Transport his eighth pint of cider and persuading him to sign on the 'dotted line'.

Well done chaps - pats on the back all round. Next mission: get your church hall back. Come on Dame Shirley - find out what the head teacher's favourite tipple is at Huish Academy and sort out that church warden.
